Tom Holland seems to have conjured up Zendaya‘s latest role with just a few words.
Almost five months after tying the knot, Holland affectionately called his longtime Spider-Man co-star his wife—their first public acknowledgment of their marriage—while chatting about a hypothetical getaway to Greece.
“My wife would be a great choice,” Holland remarked during a sneak peek of The Dish podcast episode set to debut on July 22. He humorously contemplated choosing their The Odyssey co-star, Matt Damon, instead, joking, “It’d be awkward if I said, ‘Sorry babe, I’m taking Matt instead.’”
Since their romance became public in 2021, Holland and Zendaya have maintained a tight lid on their personal lives. Nonetheless, the Cherry star often shares playful nods to their relationship during press events.
In an interview that also featured fan favorites like Anne Hathaway and Robert Pattinson discussing The Odyssey, Holland was questioned about fan theories surrounding Zendaya’s portrayal of Athena.
“Did Athena love Odysseus romantically?” Holland considered in an interview with Wired posted July 16. “No, because she’s married to me.”
