Customers claim Shannakian Fine Jewellery ‘accepted payment for jewellery but failed to provide it in a reasonable time, failed to provide refunds when requested and failed to provide a refund for faulty products’, according to the CAV public warning.
One client claimed to have paid the business $27,000 for a necklace which they claim to have never received. They asked for a refund but it was allegedly not provided.
CAV notes that the majority of complaints stemmed from sales done via Shannakian Fine Jewellery’s Instagram page, which has more than 25,000 followers.
Others customers have also expressed their frustration on social media after having similar experiences with the brand. It’s unclear how many of these customers were among the 67 who complained to CAV.
‘So glad to see this! I had huge issues with them several years ago. About time it has been made more public!’ one person wrote.
Another said: ‘It took three months, many messages that mostly went unanswered to receive my product.
‘At one point, they called to tell me they were sending it out on Friday and how sorry they were for the delay and nothing. Received my order a month or more after the phone call.’
A third customer shared: ‘The first two dealings with them I had absolutely no issues therefore I proceed with another two orders and this is where it all came undone.

When contacted for comment, Hovig told Daily Mail Australia: ‘It was all a surprise to me. My wife had a lot of personal things going on so I wasn’t aware of the order delays.
‘I’m doing my best to finish all orders or offer refunds. I’m still running my business. If anyone has any issues, contact me as we are resolving all issues.
