Amy Childs and Lauren Goodger looked incredible as they filmed the new series of TOWIE in Portugal on Tuesday.

The Only Way Is Essex stars Amy, 34, and Lauren, 38, were two of just eight stars who filmed the very first episode of the show in 2010. 

Amy made a return to the show in 2021 and Lauren followed suit last year, joining her as they both navigate the constructed reality programme as mothers. 

She slipped into a racy brown cut out swimsuit and mesh green cover up as she enjoyed the sunshine, while Lauren sported a multi-coloured cover up.

The cast are currently in Portugal to film the upcoming series, which marks the 15 anniversary of the show.

Last month Amy revealed the real reason behind her extreme weight loss after calling off her wedding to her fiancé Billy Delbosq.

Addressing the weight loss and cruel trolling she’s received as a result of the weight loss in an emotional interview with OK! Magazine she said: ‘I’m going through so much at the minute that the weight has fallen off me.

‘I worry about my mum constantly. She’s very emotional – she thinks she’s going to have another heart attack.’

‘People think I’m not eating, but I do eat. To be honest, I do feel better when I’m a bit heavier than I am at the moment. There’s so much going on at the minute – it’s the result of pure stress. We’re also having renovations done in the midst of parenting four kids.’

Amy added: ‘But I’m strong, I’ve been in this industry for 15 years. I’ve had lots of people concerned about me, which I completely understand, but yes, people can be so quick to judge.’

Amy also explained how she once tried using weight-loss injections 18 months ago, but it made her ‘so ill she threw up three or four times’. 

However the star appeared in good spirits as she commenced filming and enjoyed lunch with the cast.

TOWIE – which is one of ITVX’s most streamed titles with 66million streams in the last 12 months – is back with the brand new series airing on ITV2 and ITVX later this year.

Lauren revealed last month that she is having her ‘heavy’ breast implants removed and can’t wait to go back to a ‘natural look’.

She admitted her breast were ‘perfect’ before although now they simply ‘make her look big’ while opening up about her breast-reduction journey on Instagram on Monday. 

She wrote in the lengthy caption: ’11 years ago I had a breast augmentation, one of the things I regret later in life.

‘I had the perfect boobs .. they have been great over the years but since being a mum and breastfeeding for 1 year they have now changed and I’ve always found they make me look bigger!

‘Also they are heavy and I don’t like the idea of an implant being in me all these years and I miss my old boob so much.. so after looking around I’ve found someone that I feel really keen with having my consultation with @marksolomos

‘This is a HUGE step for me I’ve wanted to have them removed for so long but suffering with serve anxiety surgery is the last thing I can do ! So it’s early stages but I am bringing you a long with me! 

‘I’m terrified but also for health reasons I’m having implants removed and bring back more to my normal self wanting to reverse everything back to natural.’
