Though Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have yet to move in together permanently, they are enjoying spending time at each other’s residences. This arrangement, however, recently caused a minor mishap for Kelce during a recording session for his New Heights podcast. While chatting with his brother, Jason Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs star accidentally broke a chair that may have belonged to Swift.

During the latest New Heights podcast episode, Kelce found himself in a humorous predicament. As he chuckled at one of his older brother’s jokes, he leaned back in his seat, only to hear a distinct crack as the chair gave way beneath him, causing him to tumble backward.
“Oh s***!” Jason exclaimed. “Are you alright, Trav?”
Assuring his brother that he was indeed fine, Kelce was quick to confirm he hadn’t suffered any injuries. Unfortunately, the same couldn’t be said for the chair.
“We’re good. F***,” he responded with a hint of amusement. “Taylor’s gonna kill me!”
“We’re good. F***,” he said. “Taylor’s gonna kill me!”
While he didn’t clarify why Swift would be mad at him, it’s entirely possible that he was recording from one of her homes.
Zoë Kravitz recently wreaked havoc in the singer’s home
If Kelce was recording from Swift’s home, he was not the first person to have damaged her belongings. When Swift’s friend, Zoë Kravitz, was a guest in her house during the California wildfires, her pet Burmese python got loose.
“I just remember getting a call from my head of security trying to explain this story to me, and my first question was, ‘What snake?’” Swift said on Late Night With Seth Meyers. “I was unaware of the presence of the snake.”
The snake managed to get partway into a bathroom wall. As Kravitz and her mother, Lisa Bonet, a man had to chop into a vintage cupboard so they could pull it from the wall.
“This is the chicest thing I ever heard in my life,” Swift said. “This is a YSL ad and not a problem. It just sounds incredible, I’m sad I didn’t see it.”
Swift revealed that Kravitz only told her about the situation after she’d repaired the cupboard.
“Hey, I’m just gonna tell you something that happened, now that it’s fixed,” Swift recalled Kravitz saying. “I was like, ‘You had a snake in the house and it got loose and it was in the wall, and they had to get an axe.’”
Swift said she found the situation funny enough that she couldn’t be mad at her friend.

In August 2025, Swift was a guest on Kelce’s New Heights podcast. She used the platform to announce her most recent album, The Life of a Showgirl. In her conversation with the Kelce brothers, Swift pointed out the fact that she first learned her now-fiancé liked her because of the podcast.
“This podcast has done a lot for me,” she said. “I owe a lot to this podcast. This podcast got me a boyfriend ever since Travis decided to use it as his personal dating app about two years ago.”
