US President Donald Trump has addressed the recent massacre of Christians in Nigeria, directing the House Appropriations Committee to conduct an investigation into the matter.

Trump shared this directive in a post on Truth Social dated October 31, 2025.

In his message, Trump expressed concern over what he described as an existential threat to Christianity in Nigeria.

He emphasized that thousands of Christians have been killed, attributing the violence to radical Islamist groups.

‎Trump ordered Congressman Riley Moore and Chairman Tom Cole, along with the House Appropriations Committee, to investigate the incident in Nigeria.

‎In addition, he emphasized the United States readiness to save the Christian population across the globe.

‎Christianity is facing an existential threat in Nigeria. Thousands of Christians are being killed. Radical Islamists are responsible for this mass slaughter. 

‎I am hereby making Nigeria a “COUNTRY OF PARTICULAR CONCERN.But that is the least of it. When Christians, or any such group, is slaughtered like is happening in Nigeria.

‎I am asking Congressman Riley Moore, together with Chairman Tom Cole and the House Appropriations Committee, to immediately look into this matter, and report back to me. 

‎The United States cannot stand by while such atrocities are happening in Nigeria, and numerous other Countries. We stand ready, willing, and able to save our Great Christian population around the World.
