The Gunners opened the scoring in the sixth minute when Raheem Sterling, on loan from Chelsea, cut inside and set up Oleksandr Zinchenko, who curled a beautiful left-footed strike into the far corner.

PSV responded quickly through Ivan Perisic, who capitalized on a lapse in Arsenal’s defense to fire past David Raya, leveling the second-leg score.

Arsenal regained the lead before halftime as Declan Rice powered home a header from another precise Sterling cross.

The English winger had a chance to score himself but was denied by Walter Benitez after attempting a delicate chip.

A lackluster second half saw PSV equalize once more, with Couhaib Driouech lofting a stunning effort over Raya following Jorginho’s mistake in midfield.

Despite the draw, Arsenal comfortably booked their place in the last eight, where they will travel to Madrid for a high-stakes showdown against Spanish opposition.
