Here’s what people are saying about the Sussexes’ twerking video, and why it shouldn’t come as a surprise.

You’ll likely get a different reaction to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s twerking video depending on who you talk to.

The Duchess of Sussex shared a video on her Instagram of the pair dancing in the delivery room together before Princess Lilibet’s birth and captioned it: “Four years ago today, this also happened. Both of our children were a week past their due dates … so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn’t work — there was only one thing left to do!”

Some took to X to praise Meghan for posting the clip and joining other celebs like Shay Mitchell, Chloe, and Lauryn Goodman, who all participated in hospital room twerking videos themselves. Those users gushed about Meghan’s video, calling it “adorable” and commenting that Harry’s moves are “hilarious.”

But not everyone was so kind. Conspiracy theorists again claimed that the former Suits star‘s baby bump looked “fake” and questioned why she had so much jewelry on if she was in a hospital room ready to go into labor. Others seemed personally offended by the video, calling it “vulgar,” “raunchy,” “classless,” and “cringeworthy.”

Plenty of users also said they were “surprised” to see this video of the former working royals. However, anyone who read Harry’s memoir Spare knew this happened since the duke mentioned it in his book, writing: “Nothing but joy and love in that room. We ate and ate and then did the Baby Mama dance around the hospital room.”

Meghan has her likes and comments on Instagram disabled and keeps her view count hidden. Despite that, People is reporting that two days after the video was posted it already racked up 23 million views.
