North West took to the stage alongside her father, Kanye West, during his recent Mexico City concert on January 30.
The pair delighted the crowd by performing several songs together, including an emotional version of Kanye’s track “Only One.” During the performance, Kanye faced North, creating a touching moment between father and daughter.
North also joined Kanye for “Talking / Once Again,” a collaboration featuring Ty Dolla $ign from their 2024 release, Vultures 1, as well as the track “The Bomb.”
The 12-year-old showcased her talent with her latest track, “Piercing on My Hand,” which she had teased earlier this month on social media.
The song delves into themes of her new dermal piercings, her fascination with tattoos, and her experiences at school.
“Piercing on my hand, the other holding bands / No friends, just filter, you wouldn’t understand,” North rapped in the song. “Went to school for two days, then I got banned / Skipping school, yeah, I do it on the daily / Got some new rings, yeah, they’re so crazy.”
The live appearance comes days after North’s mother, Kim Kardashian, spoke publicly about her daughter’s creative interests and how they’ve influenced her co-parenting relationship with Kanye.
During a January 21 appearance on her sister Khloé Kardashian’s podcast, Khloé in Wonderland, Kim revealed that North is currently homeschooled and enrolled in courses centered on her interests, including brand development and music.
“The music side and the producing isn’t my thing, and that’s her bonding with her dad,” Kim said on the podcast. “But we have to communicate about how North moves through this world.”
Kim added that respecting Kanye’s “opinion on the things that go on with his kids is really important”.
The former couple share four children together: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
