Kylie Jenner made a stunning appearance on the red carpet alongside Timothée Chalamet for the premiere of Marty Supreme. While her vibrant orange dress certainly turned heads, it was her makeup routine that also captured attention. According to beauty experts, the techniques used for Jenner’s look are not only suitable for the red carpet but can also be adapted for everyday wear.

At the event, Jenner showcased a matte makeup style that perfectly complemented her striking dress. Danielle Louise, a hair and beauty specialist from Fresha, remarked that the makeup techniques employed were ideally suited for someone constantly in the spotlight, where cameras are always clicking.
“Kylie’s glam team is adept at managing how red-carpet lighting, flash photography, and HD cameras affect appearance,” Louise shared with Showbiz Cheat Sheet. “Every aspect of her makeup, from the contouring to the skin finish, is meticulously planned. These professional techniques are also easily adaptable for day-to-day beauty routines.”
Louise highlighted that Jenner’s makeup artist utilized a vinyl-matte technique to reduce shine and create a smooth complexion without losing depth. To achieve a similar look, she recommends applying a satin foundation, lightly dusting powder on the T-zone, and finishing with a hydrating mist.
For contouring, Jenner’s makeup was applied slightly above her natural bone structure to enhance angles subtly, avoiding sharp shadows. Louise advises that for the best results, contour should always be blended upwards.

Louise also recommends that people looking to recreate the look use brown eyeshadow instead of black for a softer appearance. They should also smudge eyeliner at the corner of the eye instead of applying a heavy wing. By using these techniques along with Jenner’s signature overlined lips, people can easily achieve her red carpet glam.
“Kylie’s look works because her team focused on placement, harmony, and finish — not heavy makeup,” Louise said. “Anyone can recreate elements of this glam. It’s all about choosing techniques that flatter your features, not overwhelm them.”

People have long tried to recreate Jenner’s makeup looks. In earlier years, she opted for a heavier glam, but she admitted she has walked this back.
“I’ve definitely cut down on my make-up routine and have been leaning towards a more natural make-up look, so taking care of my skin is even more important since I’m letting it shine through more,” she told Dazed. “I’ve learned the key is to make sure I’m always hydrating my skin (even lips) — I love using our lip butter for this.”
While Jenner has embraced the popular makeup styles of the decade, she said she looks forward to a return to matte looks. These were popular when she launched her Kylie Cosmetics brand.
“I’m excited to see the return of matte looks,” she said. “Even though I’ve recently been embracing a more natural, dewy look, I still love my matte products like our plumping powder matte lip and lip liners.”

In 2015, Jenner launched Kylie Cosmetics. Ten years into its existence, Jenner said she wants the company to continue to evolve.
“When I launched Kylie Cosmetics, the brand thrived on urgency and exclusivity — it was a different time, there weren’t many celebrity beauty brands — people were just excited to see something new,” she told WWD. “Now, they’re looking for products that fit into their everyday routines, and I wanted to evolve Kylie Cosmetics into that everyday beauty brand.”
She has several brands, but she described Kylie Cosmetics as the “number-one baby out of all my brands.”
