The Federal Government has announced that the recruitment process for Batch B of the Youth Economic Intervention and De-Radicalisation Programme (YEIDEP) is set to commence nationwide on March 9, 2026. This initiative underscores a significant effort to empower young Nigerians by offering start-up funding aimed at fostering entrepreneurship and tackling the pervasive issue of unemployment.

To ensure a seamless application experience and to prevent disqualification, prospective candidates should pay attention to several crucial aspects of the program.

Outlined below are seven essential details regarding YEIDEP Batch B that applicants should be aware of:

Firstly, recruitment for the YEIDEP Batch B 2026 is slated to kick off on March 9, 2026, targeting eligible youths all across Nigeria.

This initiative is a flagship project by the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, designed to support 20 million young individuals. The ultimate goal is to bolster self-employment and cultivate an environment where entrepreneurship can thrive.

Applications for Batch B will be accepted physically at authorised partner banks, which will also assist applicants in opening YEIDEP accounts.

Individuals who have previously confirmed YEIDEP accounts from Batch A are not eligible to apply again.

Those who enrolled in Batch A but did not receive confirmed accounts should apply in Batch B.

Only approved banks should be utilised for this application. Authorised banks include Fidelity Bank, Keystone Bank, Alpha Morgan Bank, Wema Bank, Union Bank, GTBank, Zenith Bank, Access Bank, UBA, Ecobank, and Lotus Bank.

Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf will oversee the recruiting process through a YEIDEP Steering Committee to ensure transparent and coordinated beneficiary selection.
