Unveiling the Hidden Forces: David Ibiyeomie on Nigeria’s Kidnapping Crisis

Pastor David Ibiyeomie, the visionary behind Salvation Ministries based in Port Harcourt, has been vocal regarding the escalating security challenges in Nigeria. He has raised concerns about how kidnappers manage to thrive despite the presence of well-equipped security forces.

In a recent sermon delivered to his congregation, Ibiyeomie put forth the idea that the kidnappings of schoolchildren and other victims might be orchestrated by more than just the perpetrators themselves, hinting at involvement from influential backers.

“These children aren’t being taken without someone backing them. Politicians must be involved,” he asserted.

The pastor also criticized security agencies for their inability to trace and capture those involved, especially given their technological capabilities and access to communication tracking tools.

He suggested that the kidnappers’ ongoing success could indicate the presence of unseen entities supporting their activities.

“The DSS can track people, so how come they are not tracking these kidnappers? There must be an invisible hand behind it. If the DSS can trace someone through a phone call, how come no one has been caught?” he added.

His remarks come amid growing concerns over the recent wave of kidnappings and attacks across different parts of the country, including the abduction of students and teachers.

The comments have since sparked reactions online, with many Nigerians debating the role of security agencies and political actors in tackling the country’s insecurity challenges.
