Mary Cosby, known for her role in The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City (RHOSLC), is at the center of a revealing new documentary series. The TLC production, titled The Cult of the Real Housewife, features startling claims from individuals who have encountered Cosby, including former church members. Among these voices is a man who identifies as Cosby’s former boyfriend, alleging that she exhibited a harsh demeanor during her younger years.

Serving as the first lady of the Faith Temple Pentecostal Church in Salt Lake City, Cosby is discussed in detail by her self-proclaimed ex-boyfriend, Michael Enoch, who was also part of the church community. Enoch shares his long-standing familiarity with Cosby, which stretches back to their childhood.
Recalling those early days, Enoch stated, as reported by Variety, “Mary was a bully. I remember her picking on certain girls and exerting control over them.”
As Enoch matured, he began to reflect on Cosby’s interactions with other girls, recognizing the unkindness in her behavior, which he had previously overlooked during his youth.
“As kids, we often overlook these things,” he explained. “But looking back as an adult, it becomes clear that she wasn’t a nice person.”
“When you’re kids, you see these things and don’t think much of it,” he said. “But as an adult, you look back on it. And she wasn’t a nice person.”
She went on to marry her step-grandfather
Clearly, Cosby and Enoch’s relationship fizzled out. She is currently married to Robert Cosby Sr., the bishop of the Faith Temple Pentecostal Church. He is also her grandmother’s second husband.
Cosby’s grandmother founded the church in the 1960s and wanted the future reality star to take her place. The role came with the condition that Cosby marry her grandmother’s husband.
“Before she passed, she made it very clear that she wanted me to be the one to take her place in the church and inherit everything,” Cosby said in a confessional on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. “That came with homes, money, our church and also marrying her husband.”
The couple married in 1998, one year after Cosby’s grandmother died.
“Don’t think it wasn’t weird, because it was!” she said. “I did it because I trusted my grandmother. I’m so glad I did it.”

When asked about the documentary ahead of its release, Cosby described it as “sad and a shame.”
“It’s horrible, that’s what I think,” she said at BravoCon in November. “And it’s not true.”
After the release of the series, Cosby responded to the shocking allegations against her, which include extortion, abuse, and extramarital affairs. Former congregants of the Faith Temple Pentecostal Church have described it as a cult.
Cosby shared an Instagram video with pictures of herself and her castmates from The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, as well as shots of her family. In the caption, Cosby wrote “#godfirst #love #you #blessed #don’t believe the Lies. Happy Sunday!!”
