In addition to her spokesperson role, she authored the children’s book series Budgie, which told the adventures of a little helicopter and was later adapted into an animated series. She also explored historical writing with a book on Queen Victoria and ventured into fiction with her debut novel, Her Heart for a Compass, released in 2021.
Throughout these endeavors, her relationship with Andrew remained notably close. Despite reported disapproval from Prince Philip, Andrew’s father, she was welcomed back to the family’s summer retreat at Balmoral in 2005, marking her first visit since 1992.
