She’s cemented herself as an icon in the worlds of music, fashion and beauty.

And now, Victoria Beckham is reportedly ‘desperate’ for her newest career venture to be a hit and make her as beloved in America as she is the UK.

The Spice Girl turned fashion mogul, 50, is working alongside her husband David, 49, to create a documentary series looking back at her 30 year career.

It comes after the England football legend found huge success with his Netflix documentary last year.

A source told The Mirror: ‘She thinks and hopes it’s going to go really well, but with this kind of TV there is always a risk that it might backfire in some way.

‘Perhaps some people might not find her funny, or warm.’

MailOnline has contacted representatives for Victoria for comment.

David admitted her upcoming documentary ‘wasn’t the easiest thing to get her to agree to’ but gushed that the Spice Girl is ‘unbelievably hard working and very clever’ and the world deserves to see that.

Speaking on Today to hosts Savannah Guthrie and Craig Melvin, David opened up for the first time about the new Netflix show.

He said: ‘It wasn’t the easiest thing to get her to agree to, but in my opinion she was the star of mine.

‘So I just thought this is the opportunity, because she’s been working on our brand for the last 18 years, and she’s unbelievably hard working, and no one gets to see that.

‘So I convinced her to actually let people see what she does every day and what goes into her business. She’s a very clever and hard-working lady, so I want people to see that.’

Discussing their iconic dance moment to Islands In The Stream in his Emmy award winning documentary, David revealed that it was unplanned and his children were ’embarrassed’.

He added: ‘This moment just happened we were in the tent all day and then all of a sudden I thought, you know, mum and dad should dance, the kids get embarrassed.

‘And this just happened last second, and we just jumped up, and you could see all the kids were embarrassed, but at that point the song meant something to us, and we just danced and it was just us at the end of the day.’

David also revealed that Victoria is currently busy planning his 50th birthday bash, as he told viewers: ‘Victoria is organising it all, it’ll be in London’.

Victoria’s new documentary will delve deep into her fashion brand and follow her journey as she prepares for Paris Fashion Week this year.

The show will offer a ‘behind-the-scenes’ look at her journey from becoming a Spice Girl to a creative director of her successful fashion and beauty brand.

David and Victoria married in 1999 and share four children together – Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 21, Cruz, 19, and Harper, 13.

Victoria launched her fashion brand in 2008 and lately launched a collection with the high-street fashion brand Mango.

After the success of her clothing brand, Victoria released her own beauty and skincare line in 2019.

At last year’s PFW, Vogue’s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour sat front row alongside close friend Kim Kardashian supporting in the sidelines.

Victoria reached new heights in May when Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor was the first to wear a bespoke made Victoria Beckham gown to the Met Gala.

Emmy-nominated Nicola Howson, who worked on David’s series, will act as executive producer on the Victoria edition alongside Bafta-nominated producer Julia Nottingham.

David’s ‘Beckham’ doc – which was released in October 2023 – received five Emmy nominations and as well as a BAFTA nom.
