Most women usually get one engagement ring from their significant other, but Victoria Beckham isn’t most women.
The former Spice Girl, who’s been married to David Beckham for more than two decades, has 15 engagement rings from her husband. Yes, you read that correctly, 15. Now, we’re taking a look at each one, and you won’t believe how much they cost.
A look at Victoria’s stunning rings
The first engagement ring David gave Victoria when he proposed in 1998 was a three-carat marquise-cut diamond on a yellow gold band. That ring was said to cost $85,000 back then. Three years later, the former soccer star gave his bride an eternity band. Victoria began wearing the platinum set eternity band in place of her marquise-cut diamond for about 18 months. It featured a bevelled edge with white diamonds and was the only single band she wore. At the time, it cost $27,000.
In 2003, the fashion designer was seen sporting a large emerald-cut diamond with side baguettes. That particular ring came with a hefty price tag of more than $1.6 million. The next year, David gifted Victoria an even pricier pink oval-cut diamond with a halo setting worth $3.4 million.
Victoria started getting a new sparkler from her hubby just about every year after that.
In 2005, her new ring was a pear-cut diamond on a platinum pave band. It’s an impressive 17 carats and one of her largest rings, costing an eye-popping $5 million. Next, Victoria got her first yellow diamond. The emerald-cut stone is set in a yellow-gold pave band to enhance its color and is worth around $3 million.
In 2007, she received a cushion-cut emerald diamond. It sits in a platinum spiral setting and is a whopping 25-carat stone, priced at $4 million. In 2008, Mrs. Beckham began rocking another emerald-cut ring, which looked similar to her 2006 ring. It’s a Chopard design and a little bigger at 15 carats. That ring is believed to have cost $5 million.
David dropped a staggering $6.8 million on an oval-cut ruby, mounted in a white-diamond setting in 2009. At that point, Victoria didn’t have a sapphire ring in her collection yet. So David changed that and got her an oval-cut sapphire on a platinum pave band, for another $6.8 million in 2010. That same year though, Victoria was seen sporting a smaller pink diamond oval-cut on a gold band, which reportedly cost $2 million.
David gave his bride four more rings after that: a round-cut diamond with a halo setting for $2 million, a moonstone ring set in a diamond-encrusted platinum band for $40,000, a cushion-cut diamond on a platinum pave band for $1.3 million, and a square-cut yellow diamond on a platinum pave band for $2.7 million.
How much is Victoria’s collection of engagement rings worth?
The fine jewelry and diamond experts at the U.K. retailer Steven Stone estimated how much Victoria’s amazing collection is worth.
Maxwell Stone told Showbiz Cheat Sheet: “When it comes to sheer scale and variety, Victoria Beckham’s collection is in a league of its own … After looking at the entire collection, it looks to be worth over $43 million. Whilst some of the jewels were purchased more than 10 years ago, when valued today, they are worth a lot more due to the rarity and the rise in market value.
“With an estimated value of over $43 million, it includes some of the rarest and most valuable stones I’ve seen. One standout piece, her oval-cut sapphire set on a platinum pavé band, features a 15 to 20 carat center stone … Victoria’s collection is simply unmatched in terms of size, value, and breadth.”
