Can these relationships survive beyond prison walls? A new season of Love After Lockup premieres March 21. It will follow seven couples as they navigate life after one partner is released from behind bars. 

Over 10, 90-minute episodes, the couples will face a range of challenges, including controlling partners, struggles with drugs and alcohol, and meddling family members. Will any of them get a happily ever after? Let’s meet the cast. 

Alexis, Julius, and Ashley (Cincinnati)

Julius has found himself at the center of a complicated love triangle as his release date nears. He’s dating two women: Alexis and Ashley. Having both show up for his release would be a disaster. To avoid a confrontation, he tells Ashley that his mom is picking him up. But will Alexis be the one waiting for him outside the prison gates?

Brooke and JK (Aquilla, Texas)

Brooke, a single mom of two, first met her boyfriend, JK, when she was 13. Years later, they reconnected when he was behind bars. Now, she’s counting the days until he’s released. But she’s not convinced that JK is completely over his ex, Alex. 

Quiana and Damodrick (Lubbock, Texas)

Quiana is a hairstylist and pharmacy tech who has been dating Damodrick for two years. Before he went to prison, Damodrick cheated on Quiana – twice – with Jawalia. Despite his wandering eye, Quiana has decided to give Damodrick another chance. 

Joey and Michael (Boise, Idaho)

After making their We TV debut on Love During Lockup, Joey and Michael are sharing the next chapter of their story. The two have a solid connection, but Joey’s family fears he may slip back into addiction after Michael is released. Their concerns aren’t misplaced. Joey previously relapsed when he was with Michael before. 

Savannah and Bradly (Richmond, Virginia)

Also returning this season are Bradly and Savannah. With Bradly out of prison, the couple is excited to start their new life together. But Savannah’s controlling behavior starts to rub Bradly – who is her former weed dealer – the wrong way. Meanwhile, his family, especially his sisters, has doubts about the relationship. 

Brooklyn and Brian (Columbus, Ohio)

Brooklyn is a cheer mom who is eagerly awaiting her boyfriend Brian’s release from prison. But while she’s counting the days until his sentence is over, her family is skeptical of his intentions. Brooklyn received a trust fund after her mother died, and they fear he might be more interested in his girlfriend’s money than he is in her.  

Will and Courtnee (Sacramento, California)

Will, an IT specialist, connected with Courtnee on a prison pen pal site. They’ve never met face-to-face, but that hasn’t stopped them from forming a deep connection. Though they have very different backgrounds – he was a high school nerd, while she was a cheerleading star who fell in with a bad crowd – he thinks they have a future together. That’s why he’s decided to propose after Courtnee’s released from prison, in the hopes that a quick marriage will make it easier for her to move to California to be with him. 

Love After Lockup premieres Friday, March 21 at 8 p.m. ET on We TV. Episodes also stream on ALLBLK.
