New Movies & Shows To Stream This Weekend: Nobody Wants This, Mayor of Kingstown, IT: Welcome To Derry + More
Netflix brings back the fan-favorite comedy Nobody Wants This with a second season that promises binge-worthy fun across 10 new episodes. HBO Max introduces the much-anticipated series IT: Welcome to Derry on Sunday, while Paramount+ unveils the fourth season of Jeremy Renner’s gripping series The Mayor Of Kingstown, also debuting this Sunday.
New on Netflix October 23: Nobody Wants This (Season 2)
Can the podcast host and the charismatic rabbi overcome their differences? Kristen Bell and Adam Brody return for another season of Netflix’s Nobody Wants This. The show follows Joanne, an agnostic podcaster played by Bell, as she navigates a complex relationship with Noah, a rabbi portrayed by Brody. Despite skepticism from friends and family, their connection is undeniable. The series features Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons, and Jackie Tohn, with Leighton Meester joining as Joanne’s new rival.
Drawing from Stephen King’s legendary IT, IT: Welcome to Derry acts as a prelude to the recent films, with Bill Skarsgård reprising his iconic role as Pennywise the Clown. The series stars Taylour Paige and Jovan Adepo as a couple who recently relocated to Derry, Maine, only to find themselves amidst the unsettling disappearance of local children, as dark forces emerge around them.
Based on the Stephen King novel IT, IT: Welcome to Derry serves as a prequel to the recent IT films which starred Bill Skarsgård as Pennywise the Clown. Skarsgård is back for the show which also stars Taylour Paige and Jovan Adepo as a couple who have recently moved to the town of Derry, Maine and just as some local children start to go missing and sinister forces seem to seep into their lives.
New on Paramount+ October 26: Mayor of Kingstown (Season 4)
Taylor Sheridan’s The Mayor of Kingstown returns to Paramount+ for its fourth season this Sunday. The series, about a family tasked with keeping the peace between local officials and the criminals in town, stars Jeremy Renner, Taylor Handley, and Hamish Allan-Headley, with new characters played by Edie Falco, Laura Benanti and The Walking Dead‘s Lennie James joining up this season. Two episodes will drop on Sunday, with new episodes arriving weekly after that.
