Alec Baldwin is heading to the small screen—and reality TV—with his family. After being announced in 2024, The Baldwins finally has a premiere date. Ahead, more on the new TLC series, from when it comes out to what to expect in the award-winning actor’s first foray into the world of reality TV. 

When does ‘The Baldwins’ premiere on TLC? 

Mark the calendar, reality TV fans, because The Baldwins is just weeks away from premiering. The debut episode is set to air on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2025, on TLC at 10 p.m. ET. At the time of writing, that means just over three weeks to premiere day. Until then there are plenty of TV shows to watch. There’s Season 2 of The Night (Netflix) and Paradise (Hulu) to all the movies up for Best Picture Oscars. 

What is ‘The Baldwins’ about? 

The Baldwins, according to the show’s official description, gives viewers an “intimate, behind-the-scenes look into the lives of Alec and Hilaria Baldwin and their seven children.” The couple, who married in 2012, are parents to Carmen, Rafael, Leonardo, Romeo, Eduardo “Edu,” María, and Ilaria. The children range in age from 2 to 11. The show “blends the highs and lows of family life, with the challenges and humor that come while raising a large family in the public eye.” 

In a statement, Hilaria and Alec described the series as a look into their “lives as a family,” including “the good, bad, wild, and everything in between.” There’s laughter and tears, but at the heart of The Baldwins is the relationship between the couple. Their “deep partnership” is put on display as they navigate being parents of seven and “embrace the madness,” per the show’s description. 

Howard Lee, President of TLC, described the show as giving viewers “an unprecedented look into Alec and Hilaria Baldwin’s family journey. As they navigate parenthood, marriage and life under the spotlight, the series blends moments of joy, chaos and sincerity offering a genuine portrayal beyond the headlines.” 

What to expect in ‘The Baldwins’ premiere

The Baldwins opens with a fun time. Alec and Hilaria head to East Hampton, New York, to celebrate their son Rafael’s birthday. However, their family tradition of escaping the city and heading to the beach quickly gets overshadowed. Alec faces trial regarding the Rust shooting which resulted in the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins in October 2021.  

The involuntary manslaughter charges against Alec were later dropped. He’s since launched a civil case against officials in the case, alleging malicious prosecution and civil rights violations (via Deadline). 

The Baldwins premieres on Feb. 23, 2025.
