There’s certainly no shortage of new shows to watch tonight (April 1). CBS is offering three hours of their popular FBI franchise (FBI, FBI: International, and FBI: Most Wanted), NBC is airing new episodes of St. Denis Medical and Night Court, and ABC has new installments of Will Trent and The Rookie.

Plus, the penultimate episode of the first season of The Pitt premieres on Thursday, April 3, and the season finale of The White Lotus debuts Sunday, April 6 on HBO.

One show we didn’t mention is High Potential. ABC’s Kaitlin Olson-led series about a single mom with an exceptional mind who becomes a police consultant has blossomed into a fan favorite. Unfortunately, the first season only consisted of 13 episodes, so the show is on hiatus for the foreseeable future.

Is High Potential On Tonight (April 1)?

Nope. Will Trent and The Rookie are airing new episodes from 8:00-10:00 p.m. ET, followed by Bad Romance: A Special Edition of 20/20.

Did ABC Cancel High Potential?

No way. On January 21, ABC announced they renewed High Potential for a second season. Per Deadline, “The size of High Potential‘s Season 2 order is TBD but is expected to be larger than Season 1.”

When Will High Potential Season 2 Premiere on ABC?

No official release date has been announced, but Season 2 is set to begin filming in May. We expect High Potential Season 2 to debut in September 2025 on ABC.
