Tony season is upon us as three shows, Death Becomes Her, Maybe Happy Ending, and Buena Vista Social Club, lead the field with 10 nominations apiece. The three aforementioned musicals are joined by Operation Mincemeat and Dead Outlaw in the competitive “Best Musical” category. The “Best Play” field is also predictably stacked as English, The Hills of California, Oh, Mary!, Purpose, and John Proctor Is the Villain compete for Tony glory.
