Thursday nights are about to get a lot less relaxing. HBO’s new legal thriller War is arriving with all the ingredients of an addictive courtroom saga.
Created by George Kay, the writer behind Lupin and Hijack, the high-pressure drama follows London’s elite legal world as two influential firms go head-to-head over a sensational divorce. At the center of the dispute are British tech entrepreneur Morgan Henderson (Dominic West) and movie star Carla Duval (Sienna Miller).
The series has earned a strong 88% score on Rotten Tomatoes. In her review for Decider, Meghan O’Keefe called War an “absolute blast of a TV show,” describing it as a combination of The Good Wife and Industry.
In the words of Andy Samberg quoting Nicolas Cage: “That’s high praise.”
