ABC is ushering The Bachelorette into a new era by casting Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Taylor Frankie Paul as the new lead, straying from the show’s usual tradition of casting previous Bachelor contestants. The Bachelorette Season 22 is entering unchartered territory by casting a seasoned reality television star who is very used to the limelight – and the controversy – that comes with the job.
So, what could this mean for The Bachelorette Season 22? Here is everything we know so far about the upcoming season of The Bachelorette.
Paul, 31, already made her name on a side of TikTok dubbed MomTok, where she shared an inside look at her relationship and family with her platform of 5.7 million followers.
But a scandal rocked MomTok when she revealed that she and her ex-husband Tate Paul, who she shares two children with, had been “soft-swinging,” leading to their divorce.
She later dated Dakota Mortensen, who she also shares one child with, and their fateful relationship was captured on the first season of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. The couple later separated and she was arrested and charged with aggravated assault during a dispute they had in February 2023.
Now, the mother of three is looking for the next Mr. Right on The Bachelorette Season 22.
When does The Bachelorette premiere?
Sad news, Bachelorette fans: ABC has yet to announce the premiere date for the new season!
All we know so far is that The Bachelorette Season 22 will premiere on ABC in 2026. Seasons 19, 20, and 21 all premiered on ABC between June and July, which could mean Bachelor Nation fans should expect The Bachelorette Season 22 to begin airing in summer of 2026.
However, the network shared fans will be able to catch Paul in the new season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, premiering Nov. 13, 2025.
