The event of the season is soon upon us. HBO‘s hit period drama The Gilded Age Season 3 premieres this month, giving us a much-needed respite from the real world of 2025. When we last left Bertha Russell (Carrie Coon), Agnes Van Rhijn (Christine Baranski), Marion Brook (Louisa Jacobson), and Peggy Scott (Denée Benton), life on 61st street had suddenly changed radically for everyone. The Russells were officially at the top of society, Agnes learned her son Oscar (Blake Ritson) had lost the family fortune — meaning newly minted heiress Ada (Cynthia Nixon) had to save the family — and Marion and Peggy’s love lives were turned upside down. Marion realized she was in love with Larry Russell (Harry Richardson) and Peggy had to put her tryst with the married T. Thomas Fortune (Sullivan Jones) on ice.
