HBO’s new Billy Joel documentary is a sprawling look at the life and career of the legendary Long Island piano man.

Directed by Susan Lacy and Jessica Levin, Billy Joel: And So It Goes delivers five hours of intrigue as the filmmakers examine the medley of love, loss, and personal struggles that helped create some of Joel’s most iconic songs. Featuring interviews with members of Joel’s band, an array of high-profile musicians (Bruce Springsteen, Sting, John Mellencamp, Nas, Pink, Garth Brooks, Paul McCartney), and the singer’s ex-wives, Billy Joel: And So It Goes is an extensive deep dive into the soul of an inimitable icon.
