Collin Gosselin Claims His Mother, Kate Gosselin, Once Restrained Him With Zip Ties
By age 11, Collin Gosselin said he had grown desperate to escape life in the basement. He described using a twin-size air mattress to climb through a small basement window, but, with nowhere else to go—and having not seen his father for nearly two years—he eventually returned home.
When he arrived, Collin said the air mattress and the few books he owned were gone. He alleged that Kate then entered the room carrying zip ties intended for his wrists and ankles.

“Once I was bound, she grabbed me by my wrists, pulled me up into a standing position and then threw me down, slamming my tailbone against the hard floor,” Collin alleged. He said she called him a burden to the family and described him as “crazy” and “dangerous,” among other names he said no child should hear. “Those things stuck long after the pain faded,” he added.
A representative for Kate did not respond to E! News’ request for comment. Her attorney previously told The Sun, “There’s always two sides to every story and when things take place in the past, it’s hard to determine because people have differing recollections and perspectives.”
The attorney added that, “if Kate did the things that Collin is accusing Kate of, she would have been investigated by the authorities and prosecuted.”
