Melanie Moreno and Sincere Rhea are taking their relationship one step at a time.
The Love Island USA couple faced plenty of attention from viewers during their time in Fiji, but Melanie says they are choosing to move forward at a pace that feels natural to them.
“We’re dating like regular people,” Melanie told E! News at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on Oct. 18. She explained that although fans may be eager for frequent photos and updates, she and Sincere had only spent a short time getting to know each other in the villa. “When you meet a guy in real life, you take your time. You don’t really post them. You get to know them. When you post a man, it’s usually like your boyfriend, you know?”

Their connection began in an unconventional setting—while cameras followed them on a tropical reality TV series—but Melanie stressed that the two are approaching the romance like any other couple would.
“So, we’re just dating, we’re taking our time,” she said. Melanie also encouraged fans to remember that television only captures part of the story. “Just know this: I’m happy. Know that the show—you saw something else, but there’s a reason why everyone on the show has certain people’s backs. You know, it’s a show.”
