Brooklyn Beckham is at odds with his family. Apparently, a rift began forming during his engagement to Nicola Peltz. Their wedding made it worse.
On the surface, the pairing between Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham should have made both families happy. Peltz, an American born and raised in the affluent suburbs of New York City, is an actor and the daughter of a billionaire businessman and a model. Beckham, born in London, is the eldest son of British power couple David and Victoria Beckham. The Beckhams apparently were not happy with the marriage, and a massive rift formed between the Beckhams and their eldest son. That rift is becoming even more pronounced as David is set to be knighted by King Charles III in the upcoming Birthday Honours list. So, how did the Beckham family feud begin?
The trouble started at Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding
Brooklyn and Nicola became engaged after just eight months of dating. The quick nature of their relationship and Victoria Beckham’s interest in controlling the narrative allegedly set the rift into motion. According to several sources, Victoria Beckham was upset that Nicola chose a Valentino gown over a design created by Victoria.
According to People, the existing tension was exacerbated when Victoria was accused of overshadowing the bride on her wedding day. Reportedly, Nicola left her wedding in tears. The couple wed in 2022, and things between Brooklyn and his parents have only gotten worse. According to several sources, a “sensitive” Brooklyn has cozied up to the Peltz family, leading to more issues with his parents.
Brooklyn and Romeo Beckham are also feuding
While much of the tension appears to be between David and Victoria and Brooklyn and Nicola, the younger Beckham isn’t on great terms with his brother either. According to several sources, Brooklyn Beckham isn’t speaking to his younger brother, Romeo Beckham.

Reportedly, Brooklyn and Romeo had a falling out after Romeo began dating Kim Turnbull, a model. According to TMZ, Brooklyn is concerned about Kim’s intentions, as he dated her in the past. Brooklyn and Nicola reportedly skipped David Beckham’s birthday because of Turnbull’s presence. Romeo appeared to make a dig at their absence on social media. The duo also skipped a fashion show, and their involvement in Beckham’s knighting remains unclear. David and Victoria Beckham have stayed mostly quiet.
