Kelly Clarkson caught people’s attention with her Feb. 14 cover of The Outfield’s “Your Love” — including Whitney Cummings.

The Fast Friends host appeared on Wednesday’s episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, where she asked Clarkson if she was aware that the Kellyoke cover had “broken the internet.”

“Are you on TikTok? Do you even know?” Cummings asked. “Not my biological clock. The app.”

Clarkson said she was told that the video “blew up,” which she admitted they “did not see happening.”

“It’s a great song, but you just never people are going to gravitate [to],” she continued.

After Cummings teased that “women are leaving their husbands” after watching Clarkson’s take on the 1986 hit, Clarkson slyly quipped, “So I heard it’s cause of the wink.”

Cummings exclaimed, “Don’t wink at me, Kelly! She just winked at me. I’m not strong enough!”

She explained that while singing the line, “I like my girls a little bit older,” Clarkson “winks at the camera.”

“Like a homewrecker!” she joked.

However, Clarkson claimed that she’s been “doing the wink” since her “first video,” reiterating that the video “blew up and it was way out of proportion.”

“But like, no, I started winking in it, like playing a character in a video or on stage in certain parts or performances just to be like cute and playful with the audience,” she shared. “And the fans since then have loved it, so now I incorporate, like, a wink here and there.”

At first Clarkson said that she “happened to do it” on that particular line, before confessing that “it was on purpose.”

“It was a cute line. And if I was a lesbian, I would shoot for an older woman,” she teased. “I’m just saying.”

Clarkson noted that she’s “been playful” with where she places her winks during performances, though “for some reason, people caught it this time.”

Cummings chimed back in, joking that Clarkson that she is “wrecking a lot of marriages.”

“There’s women that are like, ‘I just got married, I don’t know this is for me,’” she said, cracking Clarkson up. “‘Just watched Kellyoke, and I think I’m gay.’”
