The Golden Bachelor Season 2 premiere introduced Mel Owens and Bachelor Nation to 23 gorgeous, smart, capable Golden Gals, but only one knows how to disarm a bomb: Peg Munson.

Ever since Peg, a 62-year-old retired firefighter, fire investigator, and bomb tech, rolled up on scene, hopped out of the limo, and tried to disarm a fake bomb on the driveway of the Bachelor Mansion, Mel was blown away. She kept her first impression going strong by telling the Season 2 lead, “No fake hips here,” as a nod to his controversial podcast comments. And though she didn’t get Mel’s first impression rose on Night 1, her name was called first at the very first rose ceremony! A solid sign!

Like Mel, Peg is divorced, so on top of their shared zest for life and desire to find late-in-life love, we’ll likely see them bonding over their marriages and what their divorces taught them.
