The real reason that Chris Hughes has not shown an interest in sparking up a Celebrity Big Brother romance with Ella Rae Wise has reportedly been revealed.    

Upon their entrance into the house, viewers predicted a romance between Ella, 24, and Chris, 32, was certain to blossom – until he unexpectedly started lavishing all his attention on JoJo Siwa, 21.

Fans have since declared that TOWIE beauty Ella is ‘jealous’ of singer JoJo and her close bond with the Love Island hunk, noting that she’s miffed that he’s paying little attention to her.

And as the trio continue to get tongues wagging, it appears that the reason that Chris hasn’t made any moves on Ella is due to her ex boyfriend Dan Edgar.

According to The Sun, Chris is pals with Dan and believes that making moves on his friend’s ex so soon after their break-up goes against ‘The Bro Code.’ 

A source told the publication: ‘Hitting on a pal’s ex so soon after splitting up just isn’t the done thing – particularly if you do it in front of millions of viewers on a national TV show.

The insider added that with all the ‘interlinking relationships’ and tensions between the housemates, the house is starting to ‘feel like Love Island’, which of course Chris will be familiar with. 

It comes after fans have accused Ella of being ‘jealous’ of fellow housemate JoJo. 

Monday’s episode of the ITV show saw the TOWIE star, 24, sitting in the garden with Angellica Bell, 49, as they watched the pop star, 21, give Chris Hughes, 32, a back massage.

Expressing her feelings about JoJo, Ella remarked that she was ‘not her cup of tea’ as she complained about how loud the singer was.

Continuing her rant about the Karma hitmaker, Ella said: ‘There’s not an off switch’, before adding: ‘You’re not like that all the time at home, you’re not, of course you’re not. My mum would tell me to calm the f**k down.’

Turning to the presenter, Ella then asked whether she was ‘being a b***h’, with Angellica noting that there was some truth in what she was saying as Chris and JoJo have separated themselves from the group.

Watching the scenes unfold, viewers believe that the real reason she slammed JoJo was because she was ‘jealous’ of her close friendship with Chris, with some claiming she is craving the Love Island hunk’s attention.
