What Happened to Bobby on ‘Tracker’?

Bobby was noticeably missing from season 2, episode 10, of Tracker. Instead of assisting Colter Shaw with tech on his case, it was Bobby’s cousin Randy who was brought in to help out. Randy explained why Bobby, who is played by Eric Graise, was not present during the episode.

“Bobby is dealing with some family stuff, but he wanted to make sure he didn’t leave you hanging,” Randy told Colter during the episode.

Colter said that he remembered Randy from his help on a case in the past.

“I remember you. You helped me with that case where you hacked into the police server,” Colter said to Randy.

“Some of my best work. Bobby is dealing with some family stuff but he wanted to make sure he didn’t leave you hanging,” Randy said in response. “And for the record, I am the one who showed him how to jailbreak his phone so you are all good.”

Randy began looking around Bobby’s desk, grabbing a bag of gummy worms and eating some while he talked to Colter on the phone. After their playful exchange about the candy, Colter told him he needed assistance with a case regarding a guy who killed several people and kidnapped a girl. After fumbling around with the software on Bobby’s computer for a few seconds, Randy was ready to go to work on the case.

Fans Wondered If Bobby Will Come Back to ‘Tracker’

After the first episode with Randy aired, some fans took to social media to discuss Bobby’s whereabouts.

“Where’s Bobby? #trackercbs I didn’t catch that! #tracker,” one person said on X, to which another replied, “I think they said he’s dealing with some family business. I hope he’s gonna be back.”

“Is Bobby still in the show? Reenie is also MIA,” another viewer asked on X.

“Whoa, where tf is Bobby, this better be temporary, omg???? #TrackerCBS,” another person asked.

Photos and trailers released ahead of season 2, episode 11, showed that Randy would once again be back in the absence of Bobby for yet another case.

CBS released a clip from the episode titled “Shades of Gray,” which showed Randy once again making himself acquainted with Bobby’s tech setup. He pointed out how many cords Bobby had around the room.

“I’m looking for a missing guy. Might have been seeing a married woman,” Colter tells Randy on the phone, to which he responds, “Take it from me, bad move, done that.”

Will Bobby Return to ‘Tracker’? What We Know So Far

It is believed that Bobby will be returning to Tracker, according to multiple outlets. A midseason trailer for season 2 of Tracker showed a clip of Bobby in his tech office that has yet to be featured in an episode, per The Direct.

However, it’s also worth mentioning that Chris Lee, who plays Randy, was brought onto Tracker for a “substantial recurring role,” per Deadline. This could mean viewers should expect multiple appearances from Randy throughout the remaining episodes of season 2.

Tracker has been renewed for season 3, but so far, no casting updates have been provided by CBS.
