A Nigerian woman has sparked online debate with her candid views on divorce and relationship advice.
She pointed out that men seldom take to social media to dissuade others from marriage following a divorce, contrasting this with some women who openly criticize the institution after splitting from their partners.
Expressing her thoughts, she remarked, “You will never find a divorced man advising others not to marry, claiming marriage is bad. But among my gender, particularly those responsible for the divorce, suddenly they’re online, setting up cameras to recruit others into their way of thinking.”
She voiced her concern over how readily some individuals accept these opinions without scrutinizing the intent behind them.
She expressed concern that many people tend to listen to such opinions without questioning the motives behind them.
The lady further advised women to be mindful of the kind of advice they take, especially when it comes to relationships and marriage.
“And you now will listen to them? Make una sense oo, be guarded,” she added.
Her statement has sparked mixed reactions across Nigeria, with many sharing differing views on marriage, divorce, and personal experiences.
