A young woman has ignited a lively debate online after expressing her opinions on the pressures men encounter regarding relationship dynamics, financial duties, and traditional gender roles.
Her video, posted by X (formerly known as Twitter) user @chuksEricE, quickly went viral, amassing thousands of responses.
Men Shouldn’t Be Obligated to Give Out Their Money
In the clip, she candidly stated that if she were a man, she would be the most frugal individual imaginable.
She challenged the conventional belief that men are expected to toil tirelessly and then hand over their earnings to women.
She contended that taking on financial responsibility should not be an automatic obligation for men.
Criticism of Modern Marriage Expectations
She further criticized modern marriage arrangements where couples share responsibilities unequally.
In her words: “I’m sorry, but I just have to say this. If I were a guy, I would be the most stingy man on earth. Because what do you mean? I’d go and work for my money, get paid at the end of the month, and then give it to you because you’re a lady? Why should I give you my earnings? She gives me styles in bed, I am also giving her styles as well. Why should I pay for that? And then you eventually get married to somebody who claims to be an exposed woman. You marry this person, she probably doesn’t want children, doesn’t want to cook, she doesn’t do anything. Then the person tells you we are partners. What is it they call it now? The person says we just have to do our part. She would go and work, or she will sit down at home. When you come back from your job, as a man you make your own meal. Is it just crazy to me? It’s extremely crazy. I don’t want to be a man, because that is suffering. And hence to the men of this world, kudos to you people.”
