Bad news, South Park fans. Tonight’s new episode has been delayed.

Series creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone took to Twitter to announce that tonight’s previously scheduled episode won’t be airing as planned.

“Apparently when you do everything at the last minute sometimes you don’t get it done,” the official South Park account tweeted. “This one’s on us. We didn’t get it done in time. Thanks to Comedy Central and South Park fans for being so understanding.”

On the plus side, a new episode of Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-Head (“Nuts & Bike”) will air at 10:30 p.m. ET on Comedy Central.

Is There a New South Park Tonight (September 17)?

Nope. South Park Season 27, Episode 5 was originally supposed to air tonight, but Trey Parker & Matt Stone announced on Twitter that the previously scheduled installment has been moved to next week (September 24).

When Does South Park Season 27, Episode 5 Premiere on Comedy Central and Paramount+?

The next new episode of South Park is currently scheduled to air Wednesday, September 24, at 10:00 p.m. ET on Comedy Central and Thursday, September 25 on Paramount+.

Here’s the current release schedule for Season 27:

  • Episode 7: October 29
  • Episode 8: November 12
  • Episode 9: November 26
