Woman Criticizes Young Women for Publicly Shaming Men

A Nigerian woman has sparked a lively debate online by challenging the attitudes of some women who deride men for not being financially secure in relationships.

In a video that has quickly gained traction, she questions why certain women criticize men for their financial status when they themselves might not be financially independent.

“I dislike it when a girl calls a guy poor or broke and questions why she’s with him. If it were easy, you’d have that money yourself,” she remarked.

She further addressed women who express frustration about being with men who aren’t financially stable, pointing out that many of them have never shouldered major financial responsibilities like paying rent.

“Someone said, ‘I can’t live in a one-room apartment with a guy, who wants to suffer.’ Yet, you’ve never paid rent in your life. Live by example,” she asserted.

The lady further dismissed possible criticism over her views, saying she was unconcerned about being labeled a “pick me” or accused of trying to impress men as she gets older.

“I know say if I don old, if I don dey all those kind 30s Una go say I dey find husband, say I be pick me. I no really send your papa for here,” she added.

She challenged women to reflect on their own financial situations before judging men for not being wealthy.

“If e easy you for get that thing wey you dey say another man pikin no get, say him dey poor. Why you sef no get that thing wey you dey ask am?” she asked.
