A 37-year-old Nigerian woman identified as Nandi Abraham has lost her life a few hours after childbirth after a quake doctor attended to her.

The family members of the deceased have blamed the doctor for the death of the lady as they described the doctor as “quack”.

One of the family members of the deceased, Dakum Kopnam Katlong, in a Facebook post called on the state government to check the activities of quack doctors and hospitals.

“It’s high time the state ministry of health, human rights and other organisations do something about its child mortality death in the hands of some quack private hospitals with quack doctors,” he wrote.

Another sibling, Lekyes Titus Dakum, alleged that an unqualified doctor ended his sister’s life.

“Really wish I could turn back the hands of time. Since the demise of our parents about 21 to 23 years. The five of us are always together, seeing to the growth & success of each other & to the Glory of God, we are all doing well & happy for each other, until yesterday when the whole world crashed on us. From five (5) of us, to (4), U left us in pain after giving birth. Any time I go towards the roadside, tears drop from my eyes. The doctor that don’t know his work decides to end Ur life. RIP MY LOVING SISTER.”
