Popular Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola has addressed a trending video in which an elderly woman was seen giving her a cold stare during the wedding ceremony of Priscilla Ojo and her Tanzanian husband.

The clip, which made rounds on social media, captured Wumi having a good time and posing for photos at the star-studded event. However, the moment that caught viewers’ attention was when an older woman appeared to give the actress a disapproving look and visibly ignored her presence.

The actress, who seemed unaware of the interaction until the video went viral, took to a live session to respond, expressing confusion and disappointment over the woman’s behaviour.

“Why did you give me a bad eye at the wedding? What exactly is my offence? Aside from my roles in movies, I don’t know you, and I’ve never done anything to you. I am always on my lane, minding my business,” Wumi questioned during the live broadcast.

She went on to suggest that the woman may have mistaken her movie characters for real-life behaviour, noting that some viewers struggle to separate fiction from reality.

“She saw me and paused. I thought maybe her eyelashes entered her eyes or something, but she was just giving me this condescending look. Whatever you think about me will go back to your children. God knows I don’t know you,” Wumi added.

As of now, neither the identity of the elderly woman is known, nor has she responded to the viral video or Wumi’s comments.
