Music icons Patti LaBelle, Chaka Khan, and Stephanie Mills graced the Bravo Clubhouse with their presence on Sunday night’s (Sept. 14) episode of Watch What Happens Live. However, some viewers were left feeling concerned over Khan’s odd behavior.

Khan, who spent the episode nervously tugging on and playing with her hair, had a hard time answering some of Andy Cohen‘s burning questions. It all started when she recalled the time she “fell on [her] behind” while performing on stage. When LaBelle asked if it hurt, Khan replied, “I don’t recall. It’s been a long, long time.”

The singer also had a hard time remembering Paul McCartney’s name when she was asked if she ever met a Beatle. “I met John [Lennon],” she said. “And I met, at the studio we go to, actually … what’s his name?” It wasn’t until Cohen suggested McCartney that she remembered who he was. Plus, she said she had a Spice Girl attend one of her gigs  — though she “[didn’t] know which one.”

Things got even more awkward when two virtual fans asked how her duet with Dua Lipa of “Ain’t Nobody” at the latter’s concert earlier this month came to be.

“Dua and I didn’t sing ‘Ain’t Nobody,’” Khan said at first. “We sang … ‘Ain’t Nobody’? Yeah, on-stage. We jammed. How’d it come to be? It was a jam! She said, ‘Chaka, would you like to come sing with me?’ I said, ‘Yeah!’”

Khan also “forgot” her favorite and least favorite covers of her own songs, despite having been covered by stars like Ariana Grande, Hayley Williams, Kelly Clarkson, and Whitney Houston. And she couldn’t remember who performed at her 2023 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, which featured a medley of her hits performed by Sia, H.E.R., Common, and Jazmine Sullivan.

“Who was performing? I forgot. I don’t know,” she said. “I liked them all.”

WWHL fans quickly clocked Khan’s bizarre behavior on social media.

“Chaka cannot sit still and she is acting strange,” one wrote, while another asked, “Does Chaka have dementia? She doesn’t remember shit!!”

A third person added, “Chaka really somewhere on another planet right now. lol,” and someone else said, “Chaka nervous energy is irritating me. I want to say ‘Be still.’”

Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursday at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
