This week, Yaya Mayweather utilized the platform X to express her discontent regarding NBA YoungBoy’s involvement with their son, KJ.
In multiple posts, Mayweather accused the rapper of neglecting financial responsibilities for their child’s birthday festivities, all while continuing to lavish funds elsewhere.
She voiced her frustration, highlighting that although YoungBoy traveled to the same state as their son, he failed to visit him. “I’ve never heard of someone traveling to the state their child resides in and not seeing them,” she wrote.
Mayweather further alleged that NBA YoungBoy showed preferential treatment, spending on shopping and jewelry for other women, yet not contributing to their son’s birthday expenses. She revealed that her father, Floyd Mayweather, had taken care of the celebration’s costs.
“Do you know who funded my son’s birthday party? My dad,” she stated in one of her posts.
She further explained that while her father helps financially, his involvement goes beyond money.
“My dad doesn’t just help me with KJ financially either. When I tell y’all my dad really stepped up and is more like a father figure to KJ than a grandfather, he’s the one teaching KJ how to be a real man. He’s there mentally, physically, emotionally etc.”
The posts quickly circulated across social media, prompting mixed reactions. Some users questioned why Mayweather was raising the issue publicly, noting her financial resources.
Responding to those comments, she wrote, “It doesn’t matter if I have it or not. I didn’t lay down with my dad and make a baby, but somehow he’s the one stuck helping me take care of my child.”

“It doesn’t matter if I have it or not,” she wrote in another message. “I didn’t lay down with my dad and make a baby, but somehow he’s the one stuck helping me take care of my child.”
Neither YoungBoy nor his representatives have publicly responded to the claims.
