Yoruba actor Yomi Gold recently found himself counting his blessings after a harrowing experience that could have ended in tragedy within the Nigerian film industry.
On December 6, Yomi shared a heartfelt video from his hospital bed, recounting a sudden, severe headache that almost led to his demise. He praised God’s mercy and the swift intervention of emergency responders in Marrakech, Morocco, for pulling him back from the brink.
Reflecting on the incident, Yomi spoke about the delicate nature of life and how quickly circumstances can change. He expressed deep gratitude for surviving the ordeal and for those who supported him during the crisis. He reassured his fans that he is on the mend.
“Life truly lives in the seconds. Today reminded me how fragile our breath is and how quickly everything can change. A sudden headache nearly took me out, but by God’s mercy and the swift help of the emergency team in Marrakech, I am here resting and recovering. I give thanks to God for preservation, for life, and for everyone He used to reach out, pray, and check on me. May we never take health, time, or one another for granted. Every moment is grace,” he expressed.
This scare coincides closely with the recent loss felt in the Yoruba film community, following the untimely passing of actress Allwell Ademola due to a heart attack.
