Yul Edochie, the renowned actor, has openly refuted the recent unfounded rumors about the demise of his father, the iconic Pete Edochie.

The false information spread after a user on X posted a fabricated report, falsely claiming that Pete Edochie had died and that Yul had confirmed this on Instagram.

This erroneous claim was swiftly debunked as Pete Edochie and his family reassured everyone that the celebrated actor is alive and thriving.

Yul took to Instagram, sharing a captivating portrait of his father accompanied by a heartfelt tribute that honored Pete’s enduring impact and illustrious career.

He affectionately dubbed Pete “The Lion of Africa,” hailing him as his lifelong mentor and an “Ezigbo mmadu,” signifying a truly virtuous person. Yul further expressed his belief that his father would live well past 100 years.

“You will definitely live beyond 100 years,” he wrote.

In the post, Yul strongly rejected the false reports and advised the public to ignore any claims suggesting his father’s death.

“To the public, disregard any false news saying Chief Pete Edochie passed away. The Lion of Africa is fully alive, hale and hearty,” he emphasized.

This is not the first time Pete Edochie has been the target of unfounded death rumours.
