This week, Yung Miami made headlines with the release of her latest music video, which features some unexpected yet heartwarming guest stars: her daughter and niece. The rapper unveiled the visuals for her track “Newsflash” on Wednesday, February 18, placing her family at the forefront of a song that delves into her personal journey.
“This one was very personal to me,” Yung Miami shared. “I’m standing in my truth and not apologizing for it. I poured my confidence, survival, and pain into that song. It’s about standing my ground and showing that I’m here now.”
The track boasts a powerful bassline and finds Miami candidly addressing various chapters of her life. From embarking on her solo career to revisiting the harrowing 2019 shooting incident that captured media attention, Miami lays it all out. This release also paves the way for her upcoming single, “Tea Time,” set to drop on streaming platforms Friday, February 20. The song has already generated significant buzz online, heightening anticipation.

Beyond the music scene, Yung Miami has been broadening her horizons, making significant strides in fashion, beauty, and media. Despite her growing empire and public persona, at home, she embraces her most cherished role: being a mom.
Outside the studio, Miami has been expanding her empire, moving deeper into fashion, beauty and media while keeping her name firmly in the spotlight. At home, though, she is simply mom.

The rapper shares two children, including her six year old daughter, Summer Miami, who is already carving out her own lane.
Summer is the founder of Summer Miami Cosmetics, a kid friendly beauty brand that launched in October. Ahead of the rollout, Miami, born Caresha Brownlee, shared a message explaining why she decided to build the brand around her daughter.

“Since you were little, I’ve watched you play in my makeup, pose in the mirror, and tell me, Mommy, I wanna be like you. You’ve always been my girly girl. Confident, creative, and full of sparkle. I see so much of myself in you, but even more, I see your own light shining bright,” she wrote.
She continued, “You’ve watched me work hard and build something out of nothing, and now it’s your turn. For your 6th birthday, I wanted to give you something that will grow with you, your own brand, Summer Miami Cosmetics.”

Since launching, Summer has appeared at pop up shop events, filmed promotional videos and regularly promotes the products on social media.
In addition to Summer, Yung Miami is also mom to her son Jai, who was born in 2013.
