Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has finally put to rest the swirling rumors about her alleged close friendship with Annie Idibia, clarifying that the relationship is not as it has been portrayed.

During a candid interview with Naija FM 102.7, Yvonne emphasized that their interactions have always been minimal and strictly on a professional level. She expressed surprise at the speculation surrounding their connection.

“Aside from the African Queen video, I don’t think anyone has ever seen us together,” Yvonne stated. “We don’t share mutual friends.”

She further explained that there has never been a personal bond between them and denied any claims of a friendship with Annie.

Yvonne remarked, “I don’t know where they are getting that narrative from. Back then, I merely walked into a studio, did my part for the African Queen video, and left.”

Yvonne also dismissed claims of any social media fallout between them, revealing that she and Annie have never followed each other online, stating that rumours about unfollowing each other are completely unfounded.

Her clarification comes amid recent online speculation suggesting she was close to Annie while also supporting the union between 2Baba and his new wife, Natasha Osawaru.

Following her comments, fans on social media noted that celebrity relationships are often exaggerated, while others applauded her for clearing the air without drama.

With her statement, Yvonne Jegede has put to rest all speculation about a friendship with Annie Idibia, stressing that their connection remains limited to their past professional collaboration.
