Zendaya’s longtime friend and stylist kept his cards close to his vest when he was asked about his reaction to the Emmy winner’s engagement to longtime boyfriend Tom Holland. 

‘How do I feel about what? Happy.’ answered the self-described image architect told People at the Fifteen Percent Pledge Gala celebrates Black-owned businesses and their founders in Los Angeles on Saturday night.

‘There’s nothing else much to say about that.’

Roach was responsible for styling the actress, 28, who looked like she had stepped straight out of old Hollywood at this year’s Golden Globe awards, sporting the dazzling diamond engagement ring Holland, 28, gave her while on the red carpet.

The multi-carat sparkler seemed to garner more attention than Zendaya’s win for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy for her work in Challengers.  

The very private pair first met when they were shooting 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming and confirmed their relationship in 2021.

In June 2023, The Crowded Room star told The Hollywood Reporter, ‘Our relationship is something that we are incredibly protective of and we want to keep as sacred as possible.’

‘We don’t think that we owe it to anyone, it’s our thing, and it has nothing to do with our careers.’ 

Zendaya told Elle something similar in August of the same year. 

‘Parts of my life, I accept, are going to be public. I can’t not be a person and live my life and love the person I love,’ she explained.

‘But also, I do have control over what I choose to share. It’s about protecting the peace and letting things be your own but also not being afraid to exist.’

On Thursday, Roach shared what many fans thought might be part of the Euphoria star’s wedding look. 

‘The biggest debate on the internet….. is she or isn’t she? The Miss Z! We love you Christian ❤️❤️❤️’ he wrote, sharing a photo of a single Christian Louboutin pump. ‘What do y’all think???’ he asked fans. 

‘It’s CLASSIC and timeless! It’s Perfect for Zendaya!!,’ wrote a fan.  ‘Come On Bridal!!!!!!’ wrote another.

Both Zendaya and Holland are content to take their time before heading to the alter. ‘They will just enjoy things for now and won’t rush a wedding. They are both busy with work projects,’ a source told the outlet. 

Both will be starring in the upcoming The Odyssey, which will be directed by Christopher Nolan.

The historical adventure based on Homer’s epic adventure, will star a who’s who of Hollywood, including Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong’o, Charlize Theron, Robert Pattison and Elliot Page, among others. 

Production was expected to begin in March.
