A former Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers player has been charged with domestic violence and disorderly conduct.

Bill Ferrario was arrested at his Wausau home on Tuesday. When police arrived, Ferrario was said to be drunk and screaming.

Police had been called twice in a row for similar complaints. That evening, Ferrario was taken to a motel. He got home around 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Someone called Wausau Police to Ferrario’s house on Tuesday to report that he was inebriated and shouting.

He was screaming and throwing items in his garage when the police came. Two residents of the house expressed their terror of Ferrario. He was then accused of unruly conduct.

He was also accused of driving under the influence for the second time on Wednesday. That accusation was based on a fall occurrence.

Ferrario was the only occupant, according to investigators, when his pickup truck and utility trailer missed a turn, went into the ditch, and got lodged in some trees.

Court records indicate Ferrario claimed that he had consumed alcohol before the collision. He was cited as adding, “From 4:30 a.m. until now, a bottle of vodka ranging from half to a third of a liter.” Around 11:45 a.m., that collision occurred.

A preliminary breath test result of.222, which is approximately three times the legal limit, was obtained.
