Police arrested a Philadelphia man Kacy Banks, on 15 March 2023, in connection with the murder of Tarik Greene’s death. Greene was shot and killed on 22 February.
Tarik Greene, 28, was shot and killed as he left a room at a Black Horse Pike motel early morning on 22 February 2023.
According to a court record asserting the possible cause for charges against a suspect, Kacy allegedly shot Tarik Greene when he exited the hotel room.

Kacy Banks Arrested For Murdering Tarik Greene – Fatally Shot Victim To Death
Kacy Banks, 26, has been identified as Tarik Greene’s murder suspect.
According to the probable cause statement, surveillance footage showed Kacy Banks shooting Greene as the victim left a room at the Howard Johnson Inn around 2:20 am. Banks was allegedly hiding behind a wall at a second-floor stairwell.
According to the report, Banks was recognized as the person who booked the hotel room.
At about three in the morning, Police responded to an emergency call and located Greene. As per the prosecutor’s office, Tarik was declared dead at a local hospital at 4:45 am in the morning.
Tarik Greene’s family released an obituary that said he was a Millville resident. He was originally from Willingboro. Banks are charged with robbery, criminal homicide, and a weapons offense.

It is unclear if the late victim of the predawn shooting was married. The obituary didn’t disclose much about his family members, except that they were heartbroken and had difficulty saying goodbye to their loved one.
Banks have not been found guilty. Thus, the charges are only allegations. Kacy Banks was detained in Philadelphia and is currently in Jail. His extradition to New Jersey is processed.

Tarik Greene Death – How Did She Die?
As mentioned above, security footage revealed Kacy Banks shooting Greene. Tarik left the motel room at the Howard Johnson Inn.
Shortly after the victim left the motel room, a woman exited the same room and left the area in a car driven by Kacy Banks. When Police Officers asked the woman about the situation, she said she and Kacy Banks invited men to the hotel to have sex with her and rob them.
She further disclosed that Kacy Banks and Tarik Greene fought for the room. According to the woman, Banks jumped from a second-floor balcony.
Kacy Banks then allegedly waited for Greene to come out of the room and fired a single round at him. As the investigation continues, many things are yet to be revealed.
Further details about the suspect have not been revealed. Hopefully, justice will be served soon in the coming days.
