Michael George Vrabel is the head coach of the Tennessee Titans of the National Football League and a former linebacker in American football (NFL). At Ohio State, where he played collegiate football, he was named a unanimous All-American. 

Vrabel began his career with the Kansas City Chiefs after being selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the third round of the 1997 NFL Draft. He later signed on with the New England Patriots as a free agent in 2001, where he won three Super Bowls and was named an All-Pro.

Vrabel was the linebackers and defensive line coach at Ohio State for three seasons after his playing career ended following the 2010 season.

From 1993 through 1996, Vrabel played defensive end for Ohio State University on a sports scholarship. In his sophomore year, he recorded 12 quarterback sacks; in his junior year, he recorded 13; and in his senior year, he recorded 48 tackles and nine sacks. 

He was named to the first team of All-Americans as a senior in 1996. The Pittsburgh Steelers selected Vrabel in the third round (91st overall) of the 1997 NFL Draft. 

His career’s first four seasons were spent in Pittsburgh. In the 1997–98 AFC Divisional Playoffs, he sacked Drew Bledsoe to seal a 7–6 victory for the Steelers, making that play his most illustrious one as a Steeler. 

In 1998, Vrabel recorded 12 tackles and 2.5 sacks. In 1999, he recorded nine tackles and two sacks. In 2000, he recorded 15 tackles, one sack, and one fumble recovery.
