Adam Thomas Illness: What Is Rheumatoid Arthritis? Adam, 34, has been told by doctors he has rheumatoid arthritis, which has been causing “a lot of pain” in his limbs and joints.

Adam Thomas, a star of STRICTLY Come Dancing, has been identified with a terrible chronic disease that might affect his performance on the program.

The Waterloo Road actor made his statement just two days after it was announced that he would be competing on this year’s Strictly.

Adam, however, asserts that he is resolved to meet the task “with a smile on his face.”

As he nears his 35th birthday, Adam revealed that he has rheumatoid arthritis.

Today (Friday), the former Emmerdale star will celebrate his birthday and admitted that the previous year had been difficult.

Writing alongside a beautiful photo of himself, his wife Caroline and their two children, he told his Instagram followers: “Well it’s my birthday tomorrow and I turn 35!!

Adam Thomas has revealed he has rheumatoid arthritis

How did it happen, and does this mean I should no longer behave like a child? Even though I act like a child, my body is telling a different tale.

Adam said, “Since January, I’ve been in a lot of pain; it started with my knees, moved to my wrists, fingers, and is now affecting my ankles and toes.

I had no idea what was going on until I finally received a diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis following numerous blood tests and trips to the doctor and hospitals!

“I assumed that was something people got later in life… but obviously that’s not the case.

Adam continued by describing how his diagnosis has an impact on his family as well as himself.

It has been a challenging year, but he continued. I’m now finally following the appropriate plan! Getting it under control at last. Right now!

Adam claims he is “still learning” about the chronic illness, but he joined Strictly Come Dancing to help get his body moving once more.

“I just want to be able to move again, get fit, and do it all with a smile on my face,” said the contestant who signed up for Strictly. He composed.

Rheumatoid arthritis is described as a “long-term condition that causes pain, swelling, and stiffness in the joints” by the NHS. The hands, feet, and wrists are considered to be the main areas affected.

According to the NHS website, “There may be times when your symptoms worsen, known as flare-ups or flares.

Although it can be challenging to predict when a flare will occur, therapy can reduce the frequency of flares and lessen or even eliminate long-term joint damage.

On Tuesday, Adam was revealed as a Strictly Come Dancing contestant.

“I am so thrilled to be joining the cast of Strictly Come Dancing this year,” he exclaimed. I’ve been a huge fan of the show for so long that I can’t believe I’m performing it now!

“I can’t dance to save my life, but I’m excited to learn from my pro and have a nice time. Bring me to the dance floor.I am very excited.

What Is Rheumatoid Arthritis?

A persistent inflammatory condition called rheumatoid arthritis can result in joint discomfort, edema, and stiffness.

Skin, eyes, lungs, heart, and blood vessels are just a few of the physiological systems that the illness might harm in some people.

Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune illness that develops when your immune system unintentionally targets the tissues in your own body.

Rheumatoid arthritis damages the lining of your joints, resulting in a painful swelling that may eventually lead to bone erosion and joint deformity, unlike osteoarthritis, which causes damage from wear and strain.

Rheumatoid arthritis-related inflammation is what causes harm to other bodily parts as well.

While new types of medications have improved treatment options dramatically, severe rheumatoid arthritis can still cause physical disabilities.

Causes

Rheumatoid arthritis is also known as autoimmune disease. Your immune system often aids in defending your body against illness and infection. Your immune system targets healthy joint tissue if you have rheumatoid arthritis. Additionally, it may result in health issues with your nerves, eyes, skin, heart, and lungs.

Although a hereditary component is likely, doctors don’t know what triggers the beginning of this process. Even though your genes don’t directly cause rheumatoid arthritis, they can increase your susceptibility to the environmental conditions, such infection with specific viruses and bacteria, that may do so.
