‘And, considering I’m only 35 years old, I’ve now been diagnosed with arthritis in both hips.
‘Bit annoyed to say the least because I feel like it’s going to hinder me from doing stuff that I need to do.’
She further explained that her specific diagnosis was osteoarthritis, which causes joints to become painful and stiff.

Osteoarthritis is a disease that results in painful and inflexible joints. In the UK, it is the most prevalent kind of arthritis.
“Is there anyone else who has had arthritis in their 30s who can show me the light at the end of the tunnel?” she posed as a question to her social media followers.
Many others then offered their advice in the form of replies, and one of them suggested utilizing a hot pack.

Chanelle added, “I really enjoy my hot water bottle, the physio offered steroid injections… could give them a try,” while posing with a hot water bottle.
She then responded, “I always think information is power and we should ask more questions regarding our healthcare,” to another follower’s suggestion that she seek a second opinion.
She continued, “I tried physio, and they recommended me for a pelvic X-ray due to symptoms getting worse and rehab activities not working.
After a “rubbish” start to 2023, Chanelle sobbed as she acknowledged she feels “lost and overwhelmed” a few days prior to the diagnosis.

Then many others offered their advice in the comments, with one suggesting the use of a heat pack.
She gave an example of how a picture-perfect lifestyle might be an illusion by posting on Instagram last Wednesday.
In an open post on her mental health and how social media may be a facade, Chanelle claims that she is one of many people who are “very unhappy at this time of year.”
To demonstrate that not everything is as it seems, Chanelle uploaded a photo of herself without makeup and tears flowing down her face along with three other images that were manipulated in phases to present a stunning selfie.

She wrote: ‘Happy new year guys… or is it? I’ve not really posted much over Christmas and New Year as I’ve had so much work to do both for my degree, actual work work and then obviously trying to squeeze all this around spending quality time with family. It’s been a lot. I feel challenged.
‘I feel a little lost and overwhelmed at how fast the years are going and that maybe I’m not moving anywhere with them. Like I’m stuck.
‘I saw so many fabulous, happy, celebratory posts over the last few weeks and rightly so.

‘But I didn’t really see anybody acknowledging that soooo many people are sad at this time of the year.

She went on to explain: ‘I have tried physio and they referred me for a pelvic X-ray due to symptoms worsening and rehabilitation exercises not being useful’
‘I bet so many of us are, but behind our screens and through our feeds we paint a different picture.
‘I just wanted to post to say it’s ok to feel overwhelmed, there’s no need to hide it, and so I’m not.
‘This week has been rubbish and I’ve got so much to do this year I’m just dreading it I have knots in my stomach.
