Lance Reddick Death Cause: Was Lance Reddick Ill?
Lance Reddick, a star of The Wire, passed away at the age of 60, just days after skipping a debut in New York.
According to his agent Mia Hansen, Reddick, who portrayed Cedric Daniels in the popular crime series, died “suddenly” and from natural causes.
There will be a void left by Lance. In a statement, Hansen asked for seclusion for his family at this time.
After the ‘incredibly talented’ actor’s body was allegedly found at home in Studio City, California at 9.30 am on Friday, tributes began to pour in.
He recently shared a picture of himself lounging with his three canines at home on Instagram as part of a marketing campaign for Hard Rock hotels and National Puppy Day.
Reddick was in the middle of a promotional tour for his franchise John Wick in which he starred as the concierge Charon.

He was supposed to accompany co-star Keanu Reaves to the Wick 4 opening on Wednesday night, but he did not show up. Reddick stayed silent regarding his disappearance.
According to reports, he was also going to perform on The Kelly Clarkson Show the following week.
The representatives of the actor have been contacted by DailyMail.com for feedback.
He published several images of himself and his three canines in an advertisement for Hard Rock hotels yesterday.
“On screen and off, it’s no surprise that I love spoiling my dogs,” he added.
Three days prior, he uploaded a video of himself singing merrily along to “and the beat goes on” as his dogs barked in the distance.
Reddick will be best remembered for his role as Daniels on the hit HBO crime series The Wire, appearing in all 60 episodes alongside stars including Dominic West and Idris Elba.
His death comes less than two years after fellow The Wire star Michael K Williams died aged 54 of an accidental drug overdose in September 2021.

Reddick also voiced Commander Zavala in the Destiny video games and had recurring parts in the popular TV series Fringe, Oz, Bosch, and Lost.
Additionally, he made cameos in the blockbuster movies Godzilla vs. Kong and Angel Has Fallen.
His wife Stephanie Reddic, daughter Yvonne Nicole Redick, and son Christopher Reddick are all still alive.
As soon as word of his passing spread on Friday, celebrities flocked to Twitter to pay homage to the ‘incredibly talented’ actor.
He was described as “a man of great strength and grace” by Wendell Pierce, his The Wire co-star.
“As gifted a performer as he was a musician. the pinnacle of elegance. A sudden unexpected sharp painful sorrow for our artistic family.
‘An unimaginable suffering for his personal family and loved ones. Godspeed my friend. You made your mark here. RIP’

James Gunn, who plays Lance Reddick in the Guardians of the Galaxy, said: “Lance Reddick was an extremely nice guy and an incredibly talented actor.
“This is terrible. I send my respect to his entire family, close friends, and colleagues.
Fans shared their favorite clips of Reddick including one scene of The Eric Andre program where he startles the presenter in a satirical skit.
An individual tweeted: “RIP Lance Reddick. The only actor to ever frighten Eric Andre, and one of my best actors.
From John Wick to The Wire to Fringe, he consistently delivered the performance of his life in everything he was in. He is going to be sorely missed.
The son of Dorothy Gee and Solomon Reddick, Lance was born in Baltimore, Maryland, where he attended the private Quaker school Friends School of Baltimore.
He went on to study music at the Peabody Preparatory Institute, before moving into acting.
In the early 90s, Reddick attended the Yale School of Drama, eventually receiving a Master of Fine Arts degree in 1994.
Despite landing high-profile roles in TV shows such as The Wire, Reddick managed to keep his private life out of the spotlight.
